There are 3 glass ‘files’. glass.dds, glass_int.dds, and glass_ex.dds and you’ll find them in the “vehicle\truck\share” folder.
Because they are shared files across the entire game, they are not required in the individual truck mod(s). The behaviour of the glass is determined by how the ‘material’ is set up. This is where you tint, colour , etc. and that info does reside in the truck mod.
Not sure how one mirror is dark and the other isn’t, unless the RHS mirror mesh wasn’t updated. It’s possible.
BUT, if both those mirrors use the same material? Then they cannot exhibit different behaviours. That’s an RTA question.
I think the reflection angle is determined by the angle of the relevant ‘cam’ locator in the truck model itself. There are two mirror models. One external and one internal.
There’s two ways of preventing the internal mirror models from being rendered..
1. Simply find the def file for the mirror (eg: “def\vehicle\truck\kenw908\accessory\mirror”) and comment-out the line that begins with “interior_model:”
This will, of course prevent BOTH left and right models and reflections from being rendered. But the external truck views will still render the external models.
2. Learn how to use Blender or ZModeler and simply remove the RHS mirror meshes and locators from that model 🙂
You raise an interesting point tho, because with certain trucks (T908 is one) I always edit the internal model of the LHS mirror and move it closer to the truck’s door.
Shortening the brackets, if you will.
